In creating kinetic art and rolling ball sculptures I try to achieve balance;
a balance between the technical aspects -- steel track, chains, sprockets, wires and motors -- and the artistic aspects of a sculpture -- color, line, shape and spatial relationships. For me a kinetic
piece not only needs to be fun to watch when it’s in motion but it also needs
to be appealing when it is at rest.
